Manage your account, privacy settings, and notifications

Edit Your Profile

To update your profile information:

  1. Sign in to your account
  2. Click on your avatar or name in the top right corner
  3. Select "Account Settings" from the dropdown
  4. Update your name, email, phone, or profile photo
  5. Click "Save Changes"

Password Reset

If You're Logged In

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Enter your current password and new password
  4. Click "Update Password"

If You've Forgotten Your Password

  1. Click "Sign In" in the top right corner
  2. Click "Forgot Password?"
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your email for a reset link (expires in 24 hours)
  5. Click the link and create a new password

Didn't receive the email? Check your spam folder. If it's not there, try requesting another reset link or contact support.

Email & Notifications

Customize which emails you receive from 406 Makers:

Order Updates

Confirmations, shipping notifications, and delivery updates. (Required for orders - cannot be disabled)

Message Notifications

Alerts when sellers reply to your messages or questions.

Promotions & Offers

Special deals, sales events, and exclusive member offers.

Newsletter

Stories about Montana makers, new product highlights, and marketplace news.

How to Update Preferences

  1. Go to Account Settings → Notifications
  2. Toggle each notification type on or off
  3. Changes save automatically

You can also click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email to opt out of that specific email type.

Privacy & Security

Your Data

We take your privacy seriously. You can:

  • Download a copy of your data (Settings → Privacy → Download My Data)
  • Control which data is used for personalization
  • Manage connected accounts and third-party access

Security Features

  • Secure password: Use at least 8 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Sign-in alerts: Get notified of new device logins
  • Session management: View and sign out of active sessions

Delete Account

We're sorry to see you go. Before deleting your account, please note:

Important: This action is permanent

  • • Your order history will be deleted
  • • Saved addresses and payment methods will be removed
  • • Active orders will still be fulfilled
  • • Reviews you've written may remain visible (anonymized)
  • • This cannot be undone

How to Delete Your Account

  1. Go to Account Settings → Privacy
  2. Scroll to "Delete Account"
  3. Enter your password to confirm
  4. Click "Permanently Delete Account"

Changed your mind? You have 30 days to reactivate your account by signing in again. After 30 days, all data is permanently deleted.

Update Contact Information

Email Address

To change your email address, go to Account Settings → Profile and enter your new email. You'll receive a verification link to confirm the change.

Phone Number

Update your phone number in Account Settings → Profile. This is used for delivery notifications and account recovery.

Shipping Addresses

Manage your saved addresses in Account Settings → Addresses. You can add, edit, or delete addresses and set a default shipping address.
